RSPON — As a form of community service and commitment to improving brain health literacy, the Prof. Dr. dr. Mahar Mardjono National Brain Center Hospital Jakarta (RSPON Mahar Mardjono Jakarta) participated in the Jakarta Elderly Communication Forum (FKLJ) at the sub-district level, held in Kramat Jati District on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at the Balegede Hall, Kramat Jati District. RSPON Mahar Mardjono Jakarta's presence was part of RSPON Mahar Mardjono Jakarta's ongoing efforts to reach out to the community in the area surrounding the hospital. The event, which ran from 9:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB), began with remarks from representatives of the Jakarta Elderly Communication Forum (FKLJ) and Kramat Jati District, and continued with health education for the general public. The speakers, Dr. Maria Natalia Stella, who gave a presentation on efforts to maintain brain health in old age, preventing cognitive disorders, and the importance of early detection of brain health problems. The health education session was conducted interactively through discussions and a question-and-answer session with the elderly participants. The participants' enthusiasm was evident in the numerous questions and shared experiences related to health in old age. In addition to the health education, RSPON Mahar Mardjono Jakarta also promoted the CheckPON and EduPON applications, its digital service innovations, to facilitate public access to information, education, and services related to brain health. Through this activity, RSPON Mahar Mardjono Jakarta hopes to raise public awareness, particularly among the elderly, about the importance of maintaining brain health to maintain independence and quality of life in old age, while also strengthening the synergy between RSPON Mahar Mardjono Jakarta and the community in the Kramat Jati District.
